So, my name's Sara, I'm nearly 17 at the time of writing, and apparently I'm a moderator! Go figure.
Anyway, I'm a chat mod over at Gaiaphage, and one of the oldest and most regular member as well, which I like to think gives me some experience and capability.
I'm very political, what with being LGBT, Pro-Choice, a Social Democrat and World Federalist. I also like to debate on serious issues constantly, and I'm always willing to do so at any time. It's a small pleasure of mine, which is nice, given I don't have many.
At the same time, though, I like to think I'm not an ass, so I'm not terribly preachy about some some, less universal things. Economics and social justice I'll be unwavering on (pending legitimate change, of course), but I'll always, for example, be very supportive of, say, religious beliefs up until the point you ever use it as a basis for intolerance. So I'm pretty egalitarian as well, which means you'll never see me as one of those horribly asinine preachy atheists who like screaming "religion is evil d00d!" while forgetting exactly what served as the starting point for increased social cohesion necessitating the establishment of band/group/tribal level societies, and the subsequent nationstates from there.
Point is that while I'm very opinionated, I'm also not an asshole. I hope, at any rate xD.
Anyway, this is getting long, so some random details about me!
I live in Toronto, meaning I'm an evilliberalcommienazisocialist Canuck, according to Fox News, but I was born in the U.S., so I have dual citizenship. It's quite useful, really. I'm a student, which is obvious, given I'm 16, and I'm going into my final year of high school before University starting September. I like the colour purple, I'm decently tech savvy, and my sense of humor tends towards the sexual.
So that's me, and I hope this forum takes off!
Now if only I convinced Corgi that this place needs a focus and a makeover...
